Folk sayings so far

I've got a few good ones so far. Here are some:

Better than a sharp stick in the eye
Don't let it curdle your milk
So foggy I can't find my bottom with both hands
As useful as a pocket on a shirt
As useful as a milking stool under a bull

I need more. Keep em coming.

Two sayings I remember from my grandparents, Mabel & Lotus Day, are;
"That's about as clear as blue mud and canal water" and "See you in the funny papers"
I, too, love old folk sayings!

Two old sayings my father used to say. "Smarter than a retarded hog" and "Dumber than a Crutch".
Never did understand either one.
