Fighting blight

Cowley County takes strong action. Be nice to see the city of Ark City this determined to fight eyesores.

Oh my goodness! I can see you are baiting an ordinance on municipal standards for color coordinated guttering on all homes before the election. Lets get past the election before we prompt any more aesthetic legislation from City Hall.

Heck everytime they try people start throwing fits that it is their property and they can do what they want with it. Seems to be no matter what decision they make it'll be wrong.

According to the article, he didn't have a business permit, located a business that should have been located in an industrial area, but wasn't and other possible business practice violations.

Why this situation got to this point is beyond me, but laws and regulations speak for themnselves.

Kudos to residents for speaking up and kudos to the county/Winfielsd for enforcing whats on the books.

Wish Ark City would do the same.

I only wish they would drive in from the North of Winfield and look at all of that crap they have out there. Then drive down Bliss street and see all the large equipment parked along there. What's good for one should be good for all.
