Lots of activity on the candidate front in recent days — Greta Goodwin filed for reelection to the state Senate. Chris Smith wants another term as Cowley County Attorney. Ed Trimmer filed for reelection in the 78th District (Winfield).
Still no Abrams on the list of candidates at Sec. of State Web site.

Not exactly relevant to all your recent postings about major folks filing for office, but I got inspired and have filed for Republican precinct committeeman for precinct 1D in Ark City. I was one in Lake County, Illinois and we served as the grunts and the first go to's. Interestingly enough, I followed what I remember was protocol and emailed the chairman of the Cowley County Republican party to introduce myself but nary a reply. I would like to get active and participate now that we have been here nine years. We shall see.
