Brownback sacks art funding

This is too bad. I still wonder why Brownback is picking a fight with the arts community over a measley $776,000 in the state budget, with pretty good evidence that its money well spent.

I assume because if you cut $776,000 here and then another $776,000 there pretty soon it starts adding up.

Yes it sucks but you can't keep your pet projects and then do away with necessary projects that benefits the entire state. Hopefully someday it will be reinstated but in times when they are cutting school budgets I absolutely agree upon cutting a mere $776,000 from the arts.
