Subliminal message?

What's everybody think ofthis?

she shouldn't have been working any polling place. Also doesn't it seem somewhat unethical if she's on a township board and her husband is county commissioner?

Doesn't look very good from a PR perspective.

However, I think it helps that she wasn't the only polling person there, and that she has worked the elections before.

I voted at the Manor and there were several workers and also some people with observers tags. I would think that the observers would have made a stink about it if it was a problem.

IMO the Voegele's should have known better. However, I personally believe even under the circumstances it is a non issue.

After the fact, it's a non issue. In the world of scrutiny in which we all live these days, it is probably most prudent and practical to err on the side of more caution.
I trust them but this is an era where one should not even open the door to such speculation.

On the other hand, the qoutes in the paper foreshadow that there may be a tiff or rift between the county commissioner and the county clerk. I saw jabs if not outright sparring.

She probably shouldn't have been there- only because it opens the door for opposition in a close race. Perhaps she could've volunteered in a different capacity.

Can't get enough poll workers, I wonder why. They get $80 for 13-14 hours, thats about $5 an hour. Want to sign up? The county commissioners could fix that by setting a more reasonable wage. Many who do work the polls, certainly aren't doing it for the money. But they are seniors [not old] but getting a little tireder.

Sally Burr made "appearances" at all the polling places -- like she was inspecting things, then I hear she showed up as an official observer at the manor. That, too, could be considered a subliminal message -- and probably a bit gutsy, but I don't think there's any rule against it.

Sally Burr is why I didn't vote for Gene. A little too underhanded...

I don't recall reading anything about the shortage of poll workers unless I missed the article. Otherwise, I would of helped.
