Birther affect

This is what happens when you watch too much cable TV. The flip side would be something nutty like the Democrats who believed that George Bush was getting drunk in the white house all the time. But that didn't make the mainstream news like this one. And beneath this accusation is not-so-subtle prejudice to paint Obama as a foreigner, outsider and unAmerican.

Nuts

I gotta say I have wondered whether there was any meat to this story simply due to the fat that Obama has not addressed it. When lawsuits were brought in the early goings, all he had to do was present proof and he has not done it. I know there is a birth certificate, but there have been people who have shot holes in that as well. Something about a seal... I'm not up on the controversy. But there are many reports of people on Kenya saying that they remember him being born there. Didn't the chief of some village say he was born there? And his own family have said he was born there.

There must be something to it for it to have gotten this out of hand.

So, until Obama addresses it and puts an end to it (and really, why hasn't he??) then count me among the doubters.

And I'm not even a Republican.

So where will this end. Suppose he does respond and offer authentication. Someone will challenge the documents. Someone will spin another story demanding a response. Someone will argue that he was too slow to respond that it does not matter.

When it is all over, we will blame another president for majoring in the minors and losing focus on what ails America while we AMericans are the ones insisting that each President inundate him(her) self with such pedantic notions time and again.

There is not an answer because we don't answers. We are like a nation of children doing what ever might get us a moment of attention for our misbehavior only to use that as motivation for our next attention getting ploy.

Let government govern, please!! It's our billions of tax dollars that are going unattended while we allow the media to distract us with drivel.
