The GOP took back the House, with a vengance, and Kansas became even redder.
Of course everybody is debating exactly what this means - validation of Republican philosophy of less government and spending? repudiation of Democrats bigger government and more spending? Anger at those in charge for not turning the economy around?
This article at swampland.com, I think, sums it up well: voters have voted for seismic change in three straight elections, hoping for some change to leadership and direction of the country. The first two times they voted for Democrats, this time for Republicans in a huge way.

Do you think that the pressure from all those entitlements? Along with the lack of (shrinking) residual money left over due to the upward spiraling Natioanl Debt and increased interest payments on that debt? Has anything to do with their Sterile performance? (By Either Party?)
That the Public has been leveraged through debt (bailouts) to the point that it will take years to work off the excesses!
Higher taxes will negate stimulus or growth. Then their inability to control immigration and other similar problems will just continue that trend!
But the sad thing is that we are forcing savers to invest in over seas emerging markets (at risk) to get any reasonable return on their savings!
That consumer economy thing only works for consumers who have JOBS!
AND
We can't seem to find a way to invest in AMERICA!
We built this mess and we have to live and DEAL WITH IT!
How do you like this change ?
