Obama is very popular right now, with economy still sluggish and gas prices high. But his finally releasing his long form birth certificate and proving that the wackos on the right were being wacky, is another example that he rises above the petty personality politics that has sickened our political system.
Most GOPers wanted nothing to do with the "birther" issue, but some keep it out front and NONE really condemned it out loud and stood up to the childish, and racist elements that drove it.
Obama should have done this a while ago, but it does prove that those questioning his legitimacy are off their rocker, and/or driven by cultural fears that a black man with an Arabic name is president.

Well good for Obama!
One down and a few more areas that need addressed - like his records at Harvard that were sealed by the Person He appointed to the Supreme Court!
I never had an axe to grind about his past - His Grandparents who helped raise him were from El Dorado so he has some Midwest roots! (They are/were White!)
But what is there to hide?
(Although I don't really agree with his Socialistic views! I don't/didn't agree with Hillary when she said we (the USA) are an aging Society/Country and suggested we adopt Solutions similar to what they have in Europe! (Aren't they basically Socialist?)

It makes him look like the rules don't apply to him. Is he a king or a president ? The media is to blame for not vetting before he was elected. The media is NOT doing their job. If he were a Republican they would be.
Can YOU play the race card ? It isn't racist to follow the rules.
This also makes Trump look like he has more power than he does.
I am NOT an Obama fan at all. However I always believed he was a natural born citizen but what I didn't get is why he just didn't release the certificate years ago. Was it really that big of deal to do? Anyone else would have. I don't believe race was ever an issue but the extreme liberals will always cry that. Seriously the man is president of the United States and he should be held to a higher standard even if it means doing so mundane as releasing his birth certificate. Rules still apply to him and any other person in his position, regardless of political party or race!!!!
Of course leave it to Trump to take credit for it. When in reality we all know it was nothing more than a re-election ploy.
