County counters

This won't help the case of Ark City officials looking to expand the Cowley County Commission to give more say to city folk.

Humm....makes you wonder what else our mayor is exaggerating!

Interesting that the school board will study the redevelopment district with a committee comprised of a downtown businessman, a citizen of Parkerfield that used to work for Home National Bank and his friend the doctor. Yep, bet this will be fair and unbiased.

If our school district can beg this community for funds for new facilities, cry over the huge budget cuts and still say no to any possible development then I will never vote for another bond issue or make a donation to another school function.

Who says there are not backroom politics in this town? Dr. Ballard you better hope this group surprises us and says we NEED growth. Last time you strongly suggested that new jobs were BAD because they would hurt state aid to the district...how about new jobs would help your students that are hungry because there is no income in the family. Isn't education about lifting families and students UP or are we into keeping them down for our own gain??

Well the mayor was one of the HNB board members who was ask to resign! He was also oneof those who signed the letter in 2008!

C'mon Dave, The responsibility of the Media was always to present the facts. Both good and bad to the public!
It was often the media that was instrumental in making the type of changes that had an impact on Society!
SPIN, isn't the fair and balanced reporting of those facts!
