Hmmmmm.
I really did not hear anything negative about this from several of my conservative christian friends. I think they knew it was going to pass. I doubt it will cause any trouble. The pool hall has been open for years across the street from the Chamber and it does not seem to cause much trouble.
Perhaps, the worst part of allowing beer are the comments like this title and comment from the editor of the paper. It is like you want to incite negativity.
If you don't want to have a beer then don't. If you want a beer then be responsible.
It is not for the paper or the city to legislate morality...I am an adult so let me make decisions. I will not be at the beer garden but if someone is then that does not mean they are going to burn in hell...
The Beer Garden went well last year. Why wouldn't they do it again? You're in a restricted area & there are Police every where. Alcohol is not an illegal drug! What is wrong with people. Criticising all the have a drink b/c a few don't know when enough is enough is very judgemental & old fashioned. Just be responsible and have fun that is what ARKALALAH is all about.
1:45 Its easy to see you are a David Allen hater, but don't confuse your distaste for creative headlining. It sells papers. That is his job, and its also his job to catch the interest of the community- the supporters and the not so supportive. Looks like its working- you are on here with your opinion.
I don't agree with having the beer garden at Arkalalah, but I kinda dig the shorter parade, so I hope the churches do boycott.
