Pompeo v. Hartman

This was the first time I'd heard Hartman speak. There is a bit of a tycoon presence about him, sort of a Donald Trump aura with his success in business and how it takes credit for things.

Course my take is that both guys are too ideological and puritanical in their comments about how government should work. But Hartman appears to go even further, if not in his actual positions but in his strong persona and language.

Not sure he's the kind of guy who could work with 434 other people to help craft legislation. While Pompeo might not be either, I think he's personality might be more suited to Congress, and his intellectual approach is also impressive.

They both have slung so much mud that I will now vote for Anderson. I met him at the fair and he actually has some really good ideas.

Looks like Ed Trimmer is going to have a tough time now having to run agaist a write in canidate named Larry Alley. Mr. Alley has some tremendous ideas about developing Strother Field. Like the fact there is already an EPA certified paint building there. The is railroad access, landing strip access, and Interstate commerce via the highway. He indicated that Strother could literally become a cargo shipping mecca for Wichita with our runways, and if we extended them it is limitless. Mr Alley currently works at Spirit Aerosystems launching new businesses internationally. He could be a very valuable resource.

One more thing the Strother Field commission the County Commission and both cities need to address is the fact that Strother Field looks "run down." There are weeds growing everywhere, the sign looks like the late 1960's and overall the experience when it is visited is a view of neglect. Let's make it look more like Hutchinson, McPherson, Dodge City or Garden City.
