Ghosts of Lowe's

Great follow up by Andrew Lawson on Tuesday's controversy over creating a redevelopment district. Things seem to have gotten personal again. The ghosts of Lowe's three years ago haunts this deal.

I wonder whether the new majority wouldn't be wiser to back off a little now (especially if they indeed they need 4 votes to enter into an development agreement) and wait for spring 2011.

Good for a few of the commissioners questiong rather Mr Warren has a financial gain in the situation. If he really does then he should NOT be voting.

What, no post about the latest poll results? Did you reallth think people in AC would be against the Arizona immigration law?

About the poll results.....he won't post anything that goes against what he believes. And if he does he'll blame it on the tea party, republicans, etc. It'll have nothing to do with ILLEGAL being ILLEGAL, WRONG, AGAINST THE LAW, and such.

So when you drive 31 in a 30, you should get a ticket?

Yeah, I know - you are a saint. GMAFB

Did someone seriously just compare being in the country illegally with speeding?

What is this country coming to? It's no wonder we are in the state we are in. Maybe people should have to pass an IQ test before being allowed to vote or breed.

So the problem is that we are in Kansas?

Funny. If I meant State, as in Kansas, I would have capitalized it. :)

You would have been wrong - state is not a proper name in that context.

Yes, it was funny, u old coot.

1:55 I think someone seriously made an analogy between two illegal acts. I didn't see where anyone implied one was like the other, other than both being illegal. Killing a doctor is illegal, so is smoking a joint. And another thing - how exactly does one 'pass' an IQ test?

by not being retarded... or liberal.

Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are.

2010 and in Arkansas City we still find our humor at the expense of the mentally challenged.

I think that most of the rest of the world have matured to respect humans despite any "imperfection." But, not here, we still get our pedantic kicks from poking fun at people who were born with certain mental challenges.

People who are mentally retarded are at least decent enough not to be cruel at the expense of others.

Grow up Arkansas City. Just grow up, for God's sake, will ya please?
