Fairness

"I like how you only post the comments that agree with you."

I've had a few comments along these lines recently. They confuse me because I post ALL comment unless I deem they are too profane, personal, or meant to smear with no evidence. I think a review of everything on here shows that MOST of the comments are from folks I DON'T necessarily agree with politically.

Perhaps some comments haven't gotten through that I intended to post. There have been times when I miss some inadvertently because it is hard keeping up.

I hear that about you.

David, we differ on our politics but it looks to me like you put your political beliefs aside on this blog, allowing many who don't agree with you to have a voice. Thank you!

Yeah, the majority of comments on here come from right wingers and it doesn't seem that the blog manager leans that way. I sometimes feel that the blog manager is unfairly judged by the right wingers because he does report both sides, and in doing such, they feel that he is against them and the politicians they support....

yet AGAIN you censor me!!! and then you let the ones through that say you are fair. you are a liar.

What if SNL mocked Michelle Obama?

I came across this from Buchanan.

It's a short read. Hopefully people can be open minded enuf to at least read it.

Have they mocked anyone's spouse? Palin is a candidate and not a spouse of a candidate. I do know that the Democrat candidate spoke out loudly and definitively when the media wanted to exploit a member of candiadte Palin's family.

It is unnerving because folks in America are beginning to sound as extremist and vicious as the folks whom we say we fear for their extremism. Civility used to be our character trait and the thing that kept us a great nation.

I applaud the candidate who said, let's just leave the candidates family out of this and talk about the issues that concern teh citizens of the USA.

I'd say you've been very fair at letting both sides of a debate or issue represent their feelings. Thanks for the forum.

You people think he's fair??? OMG that can't be further from the truth. Sure he lets people's opinions through on here but his blogs have been all trash the republicans and how the democrats do no wrong.

I am curious if he will REALLY ask Goodwin if she is involved in the recent Abrams attack ads. Actually if she's not and she has a respectable bone her in her body she's ask the group running the adds to stop.

Well, Charles, it's obvious you didn't read Buchanan's article. as, notice you don't mention the Biden issues therein. the M. Obama thing just came up at the end. It's ok. don't guess anyone else read it either.

I'm beginning to agree with another blogger. no one really listens to anyone anymore. all we do is try to make a "point".

i'm done here

yes...I do think this continues to be a fair forum. Witness your previous post...

But, a Republican recognizing the truth would be a real anomaly... :-)

Curious, why must you ALWAYS be so negative? I'm a very conservative Republican, and I have already posted my agreement that David is fair. Seems most of the leftwing rhetoric is negative - especially, "Curious". Why can they always see themselves as the underdog, yet sooooo superior! My gripe with the Dems in general is that they never, ever give any credit to anyone whose views differ from theirs. They are so self rightous!! On the other hand, David is an exception and IS fair!

I would like your opinion of this ABC news story, titled "Media's Presidential Bias and Decline"

nice. I hope Mr. Seaton will read it. I'd be interested to know what he thinks also. I'm actually surprised to see it on abcnews.
