I love this story because it highlights two truths of life — McDonald's is brilliant at marketing their unhealthy food and has the nation's children hooked. Some people worried about the nation's health would like to sue to stop them from selling toys in meals, but that's ridiculous because in the end, it's a choice.
And I hope my wife reads this and doesn't take the kids to McDonald's today!

You're right, it is a choice. McD's is not forcing you to buy a happy meal, just like they are not forcing you to buy a meal deal. You get like a bizillion calories when you buy a supersized Angus-burger meal. But you choose to buy it. McD's made the meal deals for convenience. Yeah, you might save 50 cents when you buy the meal instead of individually, but if you buy individually, you probably would not buy enough food to feed yourself twice in one day.
McD's has a great marketing team. Put a toy in a meal, place the toys in a display at eye-level for a 5 year old, and "ba-zinga", instant pleading from the kids.
It is not right (I'd say stupid) to allow a person or group to sue them because they are making the kids fat. Hey, lets sue every car maker, because cars are inherently dangerous. People can only run up to 20mph; God, or evolution, made us that way. Going 70mph in a 6000lbs SUV is dangerous. How about guns. Lets sue every gun maker (and knife, bow, slingshot, etc) because someone can get killed with one of those things. Never mind it takes someone to pull a trigger, draw a bow, etc. Everything eventually envolves a choice. Lawsuits like this one just tries to keep people from being responsible for the actions and choices they make.
